Take the wheel again!
Door Patrick Beekman

There is no time to waste!
On one hand, our digital skills are melting faster than an ice cream cone in the blazing sun. On the other hand, technology is sprinting past at the speed of a fast-forwarded Netflix series.
These days, doing nothing doesn’t mean you’re standing still. Doing nothing means you’re moving backward, fast. And yet, we all have a tendency to wait because, secretly, we are afraid of the unknown! And yes, our most common excuse for this is:
"I’ve been doing my job this way for years and it’s going just fine, isn’t it?"
Our own comfy brain is our biggest enemy in this. It loves nothing more than running on autopilot. It hates and dodges uncertainty and the unknown, because that means it actually has to work. And that’s the main reason we’re all using revolutionary AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini as a... glorified Google search, just because it's what we're used to.
"Hey ChatGPT, write an email saying that I am sick"
"Hey Gemini, what is the recipe for pancakes?"
A waste, and above all, a real shame for yourself! It's like buying a shiny Ferrari just to drive it to the glass recycling bin at the end of the street. You are doing yourself (and that Ferrari) a massive disservice.
Time to start playing again!
The gap between what we can do and what we need to be able to do is getting bigger and bigger. The only way to close that gap? Curiosity.
We need to treat innovation like a game again. A game where you don't know the rules yet, but it's way too fun to watch from the sidelines. That takes a flexible mindset, a willingness to experiment, and yeah, occasionally falling flat on your face.
Standing still is no longer an option, unless you're comfortable watching the rest of the world zoom past, using AI to build full-scale apps, while you're still treating Claude like a phone book for the local chip shop.
